Z Trip, TZU, DJs Mark Walton, Kavi-R
Z Trip (NYC) is one of the biggest DJs of our time. Considered by many to be a founder of the mash-up movement, his musical tastes are eclectic and his unorthodox mixing style hails from the school of hip hop but rejects simple classification.
Z Trip has collaborated with artists including Supernatural, Lyrics Born, Aceyalone, Mystic, Busdriver, Chuck D (Public Enemy), Soup (Jurassic 5) and Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) as well as appearing in DJ/music movies alongside Q-Bert, Mix Master Mike, DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist.
Z Trip plays regular international headlining shows, multiple club residencies and is also a master of the remix, with a stand out re-working of The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back".
Eccentric OZ hip-hop crew TZU also join the party with their trademark good time party raps, exploring the dirtier sound of 80’s electro with crunchy old analog synths and giant 808 bass drums.
Well respected for their high energy shows, TZU fuse a broad palette of live instruments with the classic turntables and sampler set up. Their tight production drawing influences from such diverse sources as Motown and 60’s psychedelic pop, to the future rhythms of the late great J Dilla.
Local stalwarts DJs Mark Walton and Kavi-R take over the turntables to round off the night.

Does anyone know how fast tickets for Becks Bar shows are selling at the Tix for Next to Nix stall? If I get there at 8am am I likely to get tickets? I want to see everyone who is performing, but not quite badly enough to spend $40-$50! |

Awesome set, great beats! And to all the peeps yelling incoherent crap at their boring mates, not dancing, not getting into it, getting madly pissed and falling down, great to see, don't enjoy one of the worlds best mixologists, turntablists and all round legends, talk to the people you see every day and spoil it for others. That's worth $45 bucks! |
